Job Description
Position: Deputy Director
Basic Function: Provide a link between top management and employees, plan and conduct
public relations programs to create and maintain a favorable public image.
Supervisor: Executive Director and Board of Directors
Responsibilities: 1. Recruit and interview potential employees. Other activities may
include the following:
- hiring and separation of employees
- screen and test employees
- check references
- extend offers of employment to qualified candidates
2. Advise on hiring decisions in accordance with policies and
requirements that have been established
3. Assist in limiting job turnover as well as improve/maintain morale and
productivity
4. Assist in maximizing employee skills
5. Execute advertising, marketing, public relations policies
6. Maintain good relations with employees, clients and their families,
other service providers, and the community at large
7. Market company services profitably
8. Set realistic goals for professional development and strive to meet them
9. Assume any additional responsibilities as directed by the Executive
Director
